Magnus Hylander

Magnus Hylander has studied tuba at Malmö Academy of Music. He worked as a tuba player between 1992-1998 in the brass quintet ”BrassaNova”. He also played Eb tuba in Göteborg Brass Band for several years. He has composed and arranged music for various ensembles, but mainly for brass. Some of his works are recorded by Göteborg Brassband, Flesland Musikklag, BrassaNova, Band of the Malmö Fire Brigade, Borås Brassband and the Salvation Army Band, Lidköping.

Magnus music has also been used in competitions. In addition to the Swedish Championships, his works has been played in Grenland Festival, Siddis Brass, Norwegian Championships, Lithuanien Championships and Silkeblaes, Denmark.

Magnus is currently working at an music school as a  brass teacher. He is also conducting two bands.
